Auburn freshman quarterback Zeke Pike, who had been competing for the starting job during the spring, was arrested for public intoxication Saturday night, the Birmingham News reported.
He was released on a $300 bond.
Pike, 19, arrived in Auburn in January and battled Kiehl Frazier and Clint Moseley for playing time at quarterback in the spring.
He completed 4-of-8 passes for 42 yards in the spring A-Day Game.
