WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) -- Kyle Wilson scored 16 points and Army led start to finish in a 68-48 victory over Coast Guard on Monday.
The Black Knights (4-7) took off on a 12-0 run to begin the game with the Bears (2-7) missing six shots and turning the ball over twice. Coast Guard got to within eight points with 7:32 left in the first half before Army scored the next 10 points to lead 34-16 with 3:37 remaining before halftime. The Black Knights led by double figures for the rest of the game.
Josh Herbeck and Larry Toomey both scored 12 points for Army with Herbeck making four 3-pointers.
Coast Guard was led by David Anderson with 14 points and Ricky Rodriguez with 10. John Benedict grabbed 10 rebounds for the Bears.
Army improved to 16-0 against the Division III Bears in notching its 28th consecutive victory against non-Division I opponents since 1993.
