An Arkansas professor was arrested Saturday night after verbally accosting Arkansas coach Bret Bielema following the Razorbacks’ 49-30 loss to Alabama.

Lawton Lanier Nalley, an assistant professor of agricultural economics and agribusiness, yelled at Bielema as he walked off the field that if he had a resume like Bielema’s he’d be fired.

Nalley was approached by University of Arkansas police, continued yelling at officers and was ultimately handcuffed and arrested. Nalley was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was booked and released 40 minutes later.

The University has not yet announced any potential discipline for Nalley, who, according to his bio, has degrees from Ohio State, Mississippi State and Kansas State.

Arkansas fell to 4-2, but that’s still the Razorbacks’ best record through six games since 2011 when they went 11-2.
