TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — After spending just one season with the Alabama basketball team, junior guard Ar’Mond Davis announced his decision to transfer from the program on Tuesday through his Twitter account.
Davis averaged 6 points and 1.5 rebounds per game over 32 games last season. He ranked fourth on the team in made three-pointers with 32 and was third in threes attempted. He finished in double digits in scoring 10 times including a season-high 19 points in the Crimson Tide’s four-overtime victory at South Carolina on Feb. 7.
Davis came to the Tide as a JUCO transfer last year after playing two seasons at the College of Southern Idaho. He joins Nick King and Brandon Austin who also transferred from Alabama’s program this offseason. The departures leave the Tide with two open spots on its roster.
