Junior A'ja Wilson has been having some fun in Los Angeles ahead of the 2017 College Basketball Awards. The Gamecocks' forward is a finalist for the John R. Wooden Award, which is given to the player of the year in Women's Basketball.

Wilson has been very busy since arriving in Los Angeles filming promos for ESPN, appearing on SportsCenter and even hanging out on the soap opera set for General Hospital.

She awaits tonight's award show, which airs on ESPN2 beginning at 8. Wilson will be among a list of finalists that include Kelsey Mitchell (Ohio State), Katie Lou Samuelson (Connecticut), Gabby Williams (Connecticut), Kelsey Plum (Washington) and several others.

Wilson helped lead the Gamecocks to their fourth-consecutive SEC regular season championship, third consecutive SEC Tournament championship and their first-ever national championship.

The junior from Hopkins has already been named SEC Player of the Year, First-Team All-American by the AP and WBCA, the National Championship Most Outstanding Player and hopes to add the Wooden Award to her long list of accolades.
