Anthony Johnson vs. D.J. Linderman Expected as Co-Main Event for World Series of Fighting

The World Series of Fighting now has a main event and a co-main event featuring former UFC competitor Anthony Johnson in his third bout at light heavyweight.

Johnson will take on veteran fighter D.J. Linderman in a bout currently slated to serve as the co-main event on the upcoming Nov. 3 card from Las Vegas.

Sources close to the promotion confirmed the bout to MMAWeekly.com on Tuesday.

Since exiting the UFC in early 2012, Johnson has moved up two weight classes and found a good home at 205 pounds. Johnson has gone a perfect 2-0 since the move, with emphatic finishes in both bouts.

Now Johnson will take on an even bigger opponent, as former heavyweight D.J. Linderman moves back down to 205 pounds to challenge him at the World Series of Fighting.

Linderman is currently riding a three-fight win streak, and holds victories in five out of his last six bouts overall.

A heavy hitter with knockout power, Linderman meets Johnson in what promises to be an explosive fight that will be the co-main event for the show airing on the NBC Sports Network.
