In an impressive all-around performance, Anthony Davis finished with 22 points and added 9 rebounds, 8 blocks and 4 assists to help the New Orleans Hornets beat the Utah Jazz, 105-98. The Hornets had an impressive game shooting the ball, finishing 40-79 (50.6%) from the field and 20-33 (60.6%) at the free throw line. New Orleans (5-6) has now won back-to-back games after defeating Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
Davis shot 9-12, in a quality offensive outing. Other top performers for New Orleans were Ryan Anderson with 19 points and 5 rebounds, Tyreke Evans with 13 points and 5 rebounds, and Jason Smith with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Despite the loss, Enes Kanter put up 19 points for Utah on 8-13 shooting from the field and 3-6 from the free throw line. He also recorded 9 rebounds. Derrick Favors contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds and Richard Jefferson finished with 13 points and 5 rebounds.
Utah (1-12) has now lost 4 in a row.
Coming up, the Hornets play the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are 4-8 on the season. The Jazz go up against the Dallas Mavericks, currently sitting at 8-4 this year.
