The Oregon State football family just got bigger as 6-foot-1, 285-pound defensive tackle Isaac Hodgins announced his commitment to the Beavers.

Hodgins received an offer from OSU last month, and he committed right after the Beavers' spring game wrapped up.

"Just seeing everything in person was awesome and meeting the D-line coach (Chad Kauha'aha'a) and the defensive coordinator (Kevin Clune) was awesome," Hodgins said. "I got to hear where they wanted me to play and how they saw me in their defense.

"The school just felt like home to me, so after the game with my meeting with coach Andersen, I told him I was ready to commit and didn't want to wait any longer."

Isaac is the younger brother of Isaiah Hodgins, who is a freshman receiver for OSU that caught four passes for 69 yards in OSU's spring game.

It's a great day for the Hodgins' family as Isaiah and Isaac are both Beavers.

"It was amazing," Isaac Hodgins said. "My parents and brother were really excited, and me and Isaiah can't wait to play with each other again."

The younger Hodgins received a lot of love after he announced his commitment, but he's not letting it get to his head.

"A lot of congratulations and welcome, but at the same time, my dad is constantly reminding me of the hard work I need to continue doing and actually work even harder than ever before."

What's Hodgins' message to Beaver Nation?

"Beaver Nation should know that I'm going to outwork our competition, and the Hodgins brothers are going to shock the world," Hodgins said.
