Angel Pagan: Re-Signs With Giants Staff

Update: Pagan has reached agreement on a new contract with the Giants, the CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports.

Recommendation: The terms of the contract have not been disclosed, but early indications are that the deal is four $40 million over four years. Pagan was a key bat at the top of the Giants lineup last season, batting .288/.338/.440 while stealing 29 bases, hitting 38 doubles and scoring 95 runs. With the Giants also committed to reaching a long-term deal with 2012 NL MVP Buster Posey, the signing of Pagan could end the team's pursuit of more offense in free agency.
