Update: Bynum (knee) is getting his second set of Synvisc injections and could resume workouts as soon as Sunday, PhillyBurbs.com reports. However, there is still no timetable for his return to game action.
Recommendation: The injection is expected to give Bynum up to six months of osteoarthritis knee-pain relief, but this does not guarantee that he will be able to play any time soon. He is aiming to return to the court after the All-Star break, maybe as soon as Feb. 20, which is the Sixers' first game after the break. However, aiming to return and actually returning are two separate realities. He is still considered out indefinitely.
