Andrei Kirilenko: Agrees to Deal with Minnesota Staff

Update: Kirilenko told news services in Russia that he has agreed to a contract with Minnesota, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Recommendation: The T-Wolves reportedly offered him a two-year, $18 million contract. He'll join CSKA teammate Alexey Shved in Minnesota. However, the T-Wolves will need to make a trade to clear cap room for Kirilenko's signing and are reportedly ready to deal Wes Johnson as a result. Kirilenko will provide Minnesota with a needed defensive presence in the paint, but it's not clear how big a role he'll have on offense.
