Anderson leads Robert Morris over Bryant 71-67

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) -- - Karvel Anderson scored 32 points, including his team's final nine, as Robert Morris defeated Bryant 71-67 on Saturday.

Anderson made a floater for a 69-67 lead with 38 seconds left after Bryant's Dyami Starks had tied the game with a 3-pointer. Starks missed his next 3-point attempt with 3 seconds left and Anderson closed the scoring with two free throws.

The Bulldogs (9-8, 1-1 Northeast Conference) led 64-62 at 3:43 when Anderson put RMU ahead with a 3-pointer and added another basket at 2:03.

Anderson made 12 of 23 field-goal attempts, including 6 of 13 3-pointers. Jeremiah Worthem added 10 points and Lucky Jones nine points and 11 rebounds.

Alex Francis scored 29 points on 11-of-15 shooting for Bryant with Starks adding 13 and Joe O'Shea 11.

RMU (7-10, 2-0) had a 43-33 rebounding edge including 20 on the offensive boards that led to 25 second-chance points.
