Alexander Ovechkin: Going To KHL If Lockout Extends Into Season Staff

Update: Ovechkin will play in the KHL if the NHL lockout doesn't end before the season is set to begin, CSN Washington's Chuck Gormley reports.

Recommendation: This isn't a surprise, and his former club, Dynamo Moscow, will be the favorite to sign Ovechkin if he does end up in the KHL. He's under contract with the Capitals, so there's no real danger of him missing time if the NHL season starts late. Any Russian team that signs Ovechkin during a lockout would only be able to keep him until the NHL resumes play.
