Albany 71, Navy 61

Led by Jacob Iati's 26 points, Albany picked up a 71-61 win over Navy on Friday in Annapolis, Md.

The Great Danes (10-3) went on an 11-0 run over a six-minute span of the first half and took a 36-24 lead into intermission. They scored the first six points of the second half and extended the lead to as many as 19 points with 15:04 remaining.

The Midshipmen (6-8) countered with a 10-0 run to cut the lead to 51-45, but the Great Danes restored order with baskets on their next three possessions, including a pair of three-pointers.

Iati was 8-of-13 from the field, including 6-of-11 on three-pointers, to lead the Great Danes. Luke Devlin came off the bench and had a perfect night, shooting 4-for-4 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free throw line for 13 points.

Tilman Dunbar led the Midshipmen with 17 points, 10 of those coming in the first half. Brandon Venturini made four three-pointers and scored 14 points.

The Great Danes shot 50 percent for the game (21-of-42) and made 42 percent of their three-pointers (10-of-24), while the Midshipmen shot 39 percent (21-of-54), and just 28 percent (5-of-18) on three-pointers.
