Al Jefferson finished with 26 points and added 13 rebounds, his 27th double-double of the season, to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a victory over the Denver Nuggets, 105-98. Charlotte (30-34) gets one in the win column after losing to Memphis on Saturday.
Jefferson went 12-23 and converted 2-6 from the free throw line. Kemba Walker also contributed for Charlotte, finishing with 24 points and 7 assists. On 9-19 shooting (2-6 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 4-6 from the free throw line, Ty Lawson put up 24 points for Denver in the loss. Kenneth Faried added 15 points and 9 rebounds.
This drops Denver (27-36) to 0-2 against Charlotte on the year.
