Akira Corassani and Robbie Peralta Set to Square Off at UFC on Fuel TV 9 in Sweden

UFC Signs Undefeated Brit Scott Askham to Face Magnus Cedenblad in Stockholm

Following a very successful debut in Sweden last year, the UFC this weekend announced its return to Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, once again with native fighter Alexander Gustafsson headlining.

UFC officials on Monday added another Swede to the April 6 UFC on Fuel TV 9 fight card, announcing a bout between homegrown talent Akira Corassani and Robbie Peralta.

The fight marks Corassani’s sophomore effort in the Octagon. He won a split decision victory over Andy Ogle in his promotional debut at UFC on Fuel TV 5 last September, upping his overall professional record to 10-3.

Peralta (16-3, 1 NC) is heading into his fourth bout in the Octagon. He sandwiched a no contest with wins over Mike Lullo and Jason Young. He had originally been scored the victor over Mackens Semerzier by TKO, but the bout was later ruled a no contest due to an accidental headbutt.

Including the no contest, Peralta is on a 10-fight string without a loss.

Gustafsson headlines the UFC on Fuel TV 9 (UFC Sweden 2) fight card, welcoming former Dream and Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi to the Octagon.
