Abilene Christian routs Open Bible again 99-49

ABILENE, Texas (AP) -- Parker Wentz hit three of his five 3-pointers to open the second half and sent Abilene Christian to a 99-49 victory over Open Bible College on Monday.

Wentz's burst of scoring put the Wildcats (6-8) up 30 points in the easy win over the Bruins.

Wentz finished with 15 points. Rafael Farley and James Pegues came off the bench, which scored 58 points, to both score 16. Jacob Lancaster added 11. The Wildcats shot 56.9 percent from the floor, including 10 of 19 from 3-point range for 52.6 percent. They also hit all but two of their 25 free throws.

Abilene Christian also defeated Open Bible in the Wildcats' previous game 87-43 on Dec. 18.

Austin Cooke had nine rebounds for Abilene Christian, which held a 47-14 advantage. The Wildcats turned 17 Bruins turnovers in 25 points.

Billy Johnson led the Bruins with 21 points and Trey Lindsey added 13.
