CONCACAF’s biggest foes will square off in World Cup qualifying on Friday when the United States play host to Mexico at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
The Yanks and El Tri have met a total of 66 times, dating back to a 1934 World Cup qualifier that saw the U.S. qualify for the big event at their rivals’ expense. However, in the half century that followed, Mexico dominated the fixture, only suffering their second loss in 1982.
