For whatever reason, Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith keeps having the spotlight taken away from him.
After making the game-clinching interception in the NFC Championship two weeks ago, Richard Sherman's post-game interview overshadowed what was a great play from Smith.
After Sunday's win, to which Smith was named Super Bowl MVP after recovering a fumble and returning an interception for a touchdown, his post-game press conference was interrupted by a 9/11 truther.
As Smith was about to answer a question, a man ran up to the microphone and said, "Investigate 9/11, 9/11 was perpetrated by people in our own government."
As the man saw security prepared to take him away, he left on his volition. Smith then asked if reporters were all right and said someone should check the man's press pass.
The good news is that despite the diversions created in front of Smith in consecutive games, no one can take away his Super Bowl MVP.
