The San Francisco 49ers announced Saturday that they signed safety Craig Dahl to a three-year contract.
Dahl had his first 100-tackle season last year for the St. Louis Rams.
"We are pleased to announce the signing of Craig," general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement. "He is an experienced veteran with excellent intangibles, who has working knowledge of the NFC West."
Dahl spent the last four years with the Rams and started 40 of 61 games he appeared in.
In five NFL seasons, Dahl has 335 tackles, four interceptions, two sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 10 passes defensed in 70 games (42 starts).
He spent his rookie season with the New York Giants, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of North Dakota State.
