2018 NFL Draft: Baker Mayfield clarifies #GetMeToMiami comments

Baker Mayfield dropped a not-so-subtle hint on Instagram for what team he wants to play for in the NFL.

Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield dropped a serious hint as to his preferred NFL destination on Instagram Thursday.

Former Sooners wide receiver and current Dolphins wideout Kenny Stills was live on Instagram talking football when Mayfield's verified account popped up among those monitoring the event.

His contribution to the discussion was direct, "Get me to Miami."

It was a quick comment, but of course people picked up on it. So if Mayfield wants to go to Miami is it a possibility?

According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins will be looking to add a quarterback in the draft this April and may even add one in the first round.

Almost every mock draft has Mayfield going in the first round, so the scenario is certainly possible. Now, is it likely he slips to the 11th pick? That remains to be seen.

Update: Mayfield did clarify his comment on Twitter Thursday.

"Just so everybody knows... I commented about playing for Miami because I was talking to a former Sooner in Kenny Stills," he wrote. "Everybody can relax, I will play anywhere that gives me a chance. I'm not picky, I will go anywhere and strive to uplift a franchise and win ball games."
