After spending a year buried behind Dwight Howard on the Houston bench, Omer Asik will get another chance to prove himself a useful Fantasy center as a starter in New Orleans. Still, it's going to be tougher for Asik to average a double-double like he did in Houston two years ago. The Pelicans ranked 22nd in pace last season and seemed to have a pretty successful frontcourt combo of Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson early on. There will be enough talent around him to get easy buckets in the pick-and-roll and with put-backs, but temper expectations on Draft Day. Asik's presence will be felt most in those areas that don't affect Fantasy, specifically intimidation on the defensive end. He'll block close to two shots a game and have a pretty solid field goal percentage, so consider him a mid-to-late round pick in Rotisserie and a late-round pick in points leagues.
