With the 1st pick in the draft, the Houston Texans select

Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina (6-5, 266 pounds)

No-brainer pick, the Houston Texans draft the best prospect in the 2014 class. Jadeveon Clowney and J.J. Watt would give the Texans the best front four in the AFC by Clowney’s second or third season. With Ryan Mallett (via trade) or another quarterback available later in the draft, going best player available was a wise decision for Houston.
