Jan. 25—Abby Cornwell

Perry>>Girls wrestling

Freshman>>110 pounds

On the mat: Became first girls wrestler in school history to place at two varsity tournaments. Went 4-3 with four pins in tournaments at Fremont and Perry, including a runner-up finish on her home mat.

Off the mat: "I enjoy working out, being in shape, and making new friends wherever I go. Wrestling is great for that. Wrestling has helped me focus and improve in all my schoolwork. Thanks to coaches Mann, Rowan, Thomas, Dominish and my drill partners GG and Eva for helping me out this season. My mom, dad, sister and grandma supported me as I started this wrestling journey. And I have two tiny cats that I love."

Senior>>Shooting guard

On the court: Had 24 points and six rebounds against North and 21 points and seven rebounds against Brooklyn. Against Berkshire, had 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Off the court: "čupo" is working on a college decision, including if he wants to play soccer. Favorite sports memory is winning the state championship in football this past fall. Says he is a LEGO master. Favorite movie is "Scarface." Favorite show is "Breaking Bad."

Junior>>Small forward

On the court: In a win over Fairview, had 18 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and three assists. In a win over Lutheran West, had 10 points. Against Trinity, had 25 points, five rebounds and nine steals.

Off the court: "D" is a Cleveland resident. Has attended Cornerstone since she was in fourth grade and has been playing basketball since fifth grade. Favorite sports memory is advancing to a district final last season.

Troy Krahe

Senior>>Center

On the ice: In six games, scored 12 goals, including three game-winners. Also had nine assists.

Off the ice: Will attend Miami University to study business. Hopes to continue playing hockey in college. "I have been loving my senior year with Kenston Hockey. I am making great memories every day with the team, including bonding time at weekly dinners, joking around on bus rides, building chemistry at practices, and, of course, winning games, especially our four tournament championships! It has been a year to remember, and I will miss playing with these teammates and my coaches."

Junior>>All-around

In the gym: Scored a personal-record 9.05 on the beam with a new routine, netting a top-three finish in a meet at Magnficiat.

Out of the gym: Favorite event is the beam. "Some of my favorite sports memories are team sleepovers. I also enjoy spending time with friends and traveling with my family." Favorite show is 'Grey's Anatomy." Favorite drink is Diet Dr. Pepper. Favorite classes are anatomy and physiology.

Senior>>126/132 pounds

On the mat: Won the Wadsworth Grizzly Invitational tournament in his weight class with an 11-5 decision in the final.

Off the mat: Plans on wrestling in college, but is undecided on a school.
