Crop comments: Chagrin Falls found its stride and has won three of their last four, with the loss to a talented Walsh Jesuit squad. The Tigers beat Jackson (9-8) in double overtime, and now have contests against Chardon, Magnificat and Rocky River. ... Chardon responded from a close loss to Hathaway Brown with strong offensive showings against Cardinal Mooney and Kenston. The Hilltoppers travel to undefeated WRA before the showdown with Chagrin Falls and a WRC contest against Riverside. ... Kenston's strong offense had an up-and-down week with losses to Chagrin Falls and Chardon. In the latter, the Bombers were held to one goal in the first half, and a 16-goal showing against Hoban. Contests against Beaumont and Hawken, two strong defenses, will challenge the Bombers again. ... Lake Catholic braved the elements for a rivalry win against NDCL and followed it with a victory at Conneaut and a close loss to a strong Wooster team. Away games continue with contests at Walsh and Mentor on tap. ... Riverside held on for a victory over Mentor (10-9) and a win over Kent Roosevelt (13-3). A young Beavers team still has its two WRC foes to face this season and is starting to find confidence in its shots.
