Nevada on fire in first quarter, rolls past Pleasant Hill

Feb. 7—Nevada scored 27 points in the first quarter of Tuesday's game at Pleasant Hill and rolled to a 69-49 victory on the road.

The Tigers held Pleasant Hill to just 6 points in that first frame.

Nevada got double-digit scoring from three players and Brice Budd led the way with 17 and three 3-pointers. Jack Cheaney and Gabe Smith added 11 apiece.

Irwin Weasley led Pleasant Hill with 17 points.

This win moves the Tigers' record to 13-10 overall while Pleasant Hill drops to just 4-15.

Nevada has won four of its last six games and dropped those two to Carl Junction (9-10) and Cassville (10-12). Up next will be a game at McDonald County (11-11) at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
