The Brooklyn Nets have quite a bit of work ahead of them. Kevin Durant will not only be unavailable for Tuesday’s game against the Utah Jazz — who also happen to be one of the best teams in the Western Conference. Brooklyn’s superstar forward is will miss at least three more games in accordance with the league’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Durant’s seven-day quarantine is “due to contact tracing/exposure to COVID-19.” According to ESPN, Durant has not tested positive since his recent exposure.
Brooklyn is still without Nic Claxton (right knee tendinopathy), as well, and Spencer Dinwiddie (ACL) is done for an extended period of time — if not the whole season — after undergoing successful surgery on Monday. Rodions Kurucs (ankle) was also a late scratch.
