Nets' Nic Claxton is providing huge fantasy value

Jonas Nader explains why Brooklyn Nets' Nic Claxton already looks like one of the primary steals of fantasy drafts, highlighting his blocks and field goal percentage.

Video Transcript

JONAS NADER: Nicholas Claxton has built on the momentum he had in the 2022 playoffs in which he averaged 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2.3 blocks. Through the first 10 games of the new season, Claxton has improved in those averages with 12.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 2.4 blocks on 72% from the field.

The advanced stats speak for themselves as well as Claxton ranks fifth in the NBA in true shooting percentage, fourth in total block rate, and first in field goal percentage. With a Yahoo ADP of 123, Claxton looks like he's going to blow that number out of the water. He ranks just outside the top 50 and 9 category leagues.

But I'll go ahead and warn you right now that free throw percentage is pretty scary. However, if you're willing to punt that category, Claxton jumps all the way up inside the top 20 for 9-cat. So congrats are in order if you were able to scoop this guy up, super cheap in drafts because he is the real deal.
