The Nets announced that Kevin Durant will not play on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies to rest from his Achilles injury recovery.

Durant missed all of last season due to the injury he suffered during the 2019 NBA Finals. The Nets' game against Memphis is the second of their first back-to-back set of the season.

Durant doesn't seem to have missed much of a step, however. Through his first three games, he is averaging 26.7 points per game, just a tick shy of his career number of 27. Durant has dropped 29 points in each of his last two games after scoring 22 in his Nets debut.

Nic Claxton will also miss Monday night's game with a right knee tendinopathy, while the team announced that Spencer Dinwiddie will miss the rest of the season with a partially torn ACL.
