The NBA world was absolutely stunned by the news that the Boston Celtics are in talks with Brooklyn to trade for disgruntled Kevin Durant.

NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the two parties have been talking for around a month but the Nets asking price is “too steep.”

Athletic writer Shams Charania went on the Pat McAfee Show to discuss the trade talks where he said, “Boston is a serious threat to go get Kevin Durant because they have the pieces.. probably more so than any other team.”

According to reports the trade revolved around slashing wing Jaylen Brown, who was an All-Star for the first time this past season. Boston fans are pretty openly unhappy with the team’s willingness to trade Brown, who was an essential part of the organization’s NBA Finals run.

The Celtics have quite a lot of talent on their roster, making them one of the most viable teams to trade for the former MVP Durant.
