Nets’ Ben Simmons has lateral upper calf strain, will miss next three games
The Brooklyn Nets say that forward Ben Simmons has been diagnosed with a lateral upper calf strain. He will miss the next three games and will be re-evaluated after that.
Initially, Simmons was listed as out for Wednesday’s game against the Washington Wizards because of left knee soreness. However, it looks like the former Philadelphia 76er will miss more time than that.
Simmons missed four games from the end of October to the beginning of November along with a Nov. 13 game against the Los Angeles Lakers with left knee soreness. His most recent instance with dealing with his troublesome knee was Nov. 28 against the Orlando Magic when he left the game in the second quarter with left knee soreness.
Nets star Ben Simmons has a muscle strain in his leg and is expected to miss a few games, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Simmons has battled through ailments the past few weeks, most recently soreness/swelling in knee, and was in the midst of his best play this season.
