It's finally time for Blake Griffin to don the black and white on the court Sunday, as the Nets announced the veteran forward will make his team debut against the Washington Wizards.

Since his buyout with the Detroit Pistons and joining Brooklyn on March 8, Griffin hasn't been able to suit up due to a knee injury. Griffin has been wearing street clothes on the sideline, though, as he gets acclimated to his new team.

But now his return to the court comes at a good time, as Kevin Durant is still dealing with a hamstring injury.

Griffin's last game played was with Detroit Feb. 12 when he had 12 points, six assists and four boards. Starting fresh with the Nets, Griffin will be looking to get back to the game that saw the six-time All-Star play during the 2018-19 season when he averaged 24.5 points per game.

It will be interesting to see how Griffin meshes with Kyrie Irving, James Harden and the rest of the roster. But if all works out, the Nets could have a depth forward that is more than capable of making an impact moving forward, especially when the playoffs come around.
