After a second-round exit last month, the Nets' attention turns to what to do with the No. 27 pick in the upcoming draft.

With the draft set for July 29, here’s who the experts think the Nets could select with their late-first round pick.

Zach Harper, The Athletic

Cameron Thomas, guard (LSU)

Change this week with Cameron Thomas getting the nod for the Brooklyn Nets. We don't know if Spencer Dinwiddie will stick around in free agency, so the Nets might as well get a scoring guard to come off the bench at some point.

(Thomas averaged 23 PPG for the Tigers last season.)

Kevin O'Connor, The Ringer

Usman Garuba, forward (Real Madrid)

Hyper defender who always makes the extra effort but needs to define an offensive role.

Jonathan Givony, ESPN

JT Thor, forward (Auburn)

The Nets' timetable could very well cause them to explore trading out of the first round -- as they have in each of the past two years -- as it's difficult to project anyone in this range helping them compete for a championship next season.

Kyle Boone, CBS Sports

Tre Mann, guard (Florida)

A late-blossoming five-star, Tre Mann grew into his No. 1 role down the stretch last season at Florida and emerged as one of college's biggest heat-check guards.

Isaiah Todd, forward (G-League)

Good tools with a 7’0 wingspan and 8’11 standing reach … Fluid, well-coordinated, and good athlete. Finishes above the rim with ease and good speed at his size. Solid strength level and can finish through contact.

Jonathan Wasserman, Bleacher Report

Nah'Shon Hyland, shooting guard (VCU)

Scouts expect Hyland to wind up in the first round after his NBA combine scrimmage helped validate his tape and reputation from VCU. One team in the 20s should buy/value his ability to create his own shot, shoot with range and score in bunches.
