West Virginia is now in year three under head coach Neal Brown. Cade Cunningham rolled his ankle on Thursday night after stepping on a Baylor player's foot, and is questionable for Saturday's game at No. 6 West Virginia.
West Virginia found the scoreboard just four minutes into the match when Bourlot Jaeggi fired a low shot into the net off a feed from Jesus Di Vicente. WVU doubled their lead in the 31st minute when Thiesen stepped up to the penalty spot and scored to give the Mountaineers a 2-0 lead. Pineda tallied the final goal of the match in the 36th minute, scoring off a feed from Morgantown High School alum Elijah Borneo.
