The global pandemic has changed just about every facet of the sporting world that occurs outside of the lines of play. From the very beginning, college sports fans knew that the recruiting game was going to change in a major way. Nearly a year later, and many of the impacts are just beginning to be felt for members of the classes of 2022 and 2023.
New broke tonight of another potential transfer for Kentucky Wildcats football fans to keep an eye on. Mike Farrell of Rivals.com mentioned Kentucky as one of the teams to reach out to Alabama Crimson Tide linebacker Ben Davis. Davis, from Gordo (AL), is a former five-star recruit in the 2016 class, choosing the Tide over offers from Auburn, Georgia, LSU, and basically every other major program in the country.
Though it was an up and down year for the Kentucky Wildcats football program, the Wildcats indeed have something to look forward to: the NFL Draft. In the latest mock draft from Matt Miller, he has two Wildcats being selected in the first round of this spring’s draft. First is CB Kelvin Joseph, where Miller has him going 23rd overall to the New York Jets.
