Former Florida State University center Michael Ojo died on Friday after collapsing during training in Serbia, his former team Red Star Belgrade said. ''The sudden and shocking death has deeply shaken everyone in the club,'' Red Star said in a statement. ''In all of my years of coaching, I've never been around a person who captivated the emotions of everybody he came into contact with like Michael,'' Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton said in a statement after learning of Ojo's death.
The league will also allow ACC teams to play one non-conference foe that meets the league's minimum medical standards. The non-conference game has to be played in the home state of each ACC team, the league said. All three Triangle schools were slated to play an FCS team, but those teams aren't likely to have the resources to meet those standards.
