Dr. Saturday - NCAAF

If teams can blast crowd noise and fight songs during practices to prepare for hostile road environments like the one Oregon State goes into Saturday night on the infamous "Smurf Turf" at Boise State, I guess it makes sense to paint the practice fields blue, too:

At least one local paint store is still seeing green: The temporary renovation reportedly cost $8,000, on the tab of a private donor. It's not a perfect reproduction, but it'll do.

All the Beavers need now is a media circus and a few dive-bombing ducks, and they'll be ready for everything. Well, almost everything: As coach Mike Riley said, "If we get any rain, we've got a problem."

And here's your finished product. It's ... well, it's blue. So they got that down.
