NCAA Tournament: Lady Vols to host Xavier
No. 22 Tennessee will continue its 2022 season in the NCAA Tournament.
The Lady Vols (11-5-2, 5-3-2 SEC) will host Xavier (13-3-5) Friday. Tennessee is a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The winner between Tennessee and Xavier will play either Virginia or Fairleigh Dickinson.
Tennessee won a share of the Southeastern Conference East division for the third consecutive season. The Lady Vols split the 2022 SEC East division championship with South Carolina.
The 2022 season is the first for the Lady Vols under head coach Joe Kirt. Kirt served as an assistant coach at Tennessee from 2007-21.
