Jonas Valanciunas is riding the best double-double streak in Memphis Grizzlies history and he looks to add another to the total Wednesday night when the Memphis Grizzlies host the Dallas Mavericks. Valanciunas' stretch of 15 consecutive double-doubles is one better than the team mark Zach Randolph set in January of 2011. The big man was superb while surpassing Randolph as he recorded 26 points on 12-of-15 shooting and collected 14 rebounds in Monday's 101-90 home victory over the Chicago Bulls.
The play-in will make the league more money, so expect it to stick around.
Los Angeles Lakers 96-111 New York Knicks Julius Randle scored 34 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the New York Knicks took control in the third quarter, fended off a comeback attempt in the fourth and recorded a 111-96 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers to extend their win streak to three games. Randle thrived against his former team by shooting 13 of 23 from the field as the Knicks shot 47.2 per cent overall and overcame missing 22 of 27 three-point tries.
