Pistons reserve forward sees franchise potential, aims for long-term stay

Ebenhack) AP AP By Kory Woods | kwoods@mlive.com DETROIT -- During Troy Weaver's four years as general manager of the Detroit Pistons, he's struggled to land players through trades who could contribute to the ball club's success in the present or future. That changed on Feb. 8 when the Pistons landed Simone Fontecchio. The Pistons acquired Fontecchio from the Utah Jazz at this year's NBA trade deadline in exchange for Kevin Knox II, a second round pick and the rights to Gabriele Procida.
