The Spurs and players shared their thoughts on on social media. SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs and players reacted to the horrific news of the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas (about 80 miles outside of San Antonio) at Robb Elementary Tuesday afternoon on social media. The Spurs released a statement on social media as did Spurs' Devin Vassell, Lonnie Walker IV, and Tre Jones who shared their thoughts and reactions to the tragedy.
In an interview with the Quad-City Times, Wieskamp looked back at his rookie season saying there were some challenging moments he faced. "I’ve never been in a position like this. It was a challenge, but throughout the season I got better at it," he said.
After starting for four years in high school and all 97 games as a Hawkeye, Wieskamp found himself in an unfamiliar position of coming off the bench. Some nights, the signal to go in never came. Other nights, it would be in the closing minutes of a lopsided game.
