Two teams that began the week on a tear aim for a return to form on Wednesday as the Dallas Mavericks visit the Portland Trail Blazers. Dallas was outscored 33-14 in the fourth quarter of a 130-92 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday in San Francisco, while Portland fell 109-107 to the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday. Both teams entered their latest game playing well, with Dallas having won five of its past six and Portland having prevailed in six of eight.
Jonathan Kuminga led a balanced attack with 22 points off the bench Tuesday night as the Golden State Warriors found their offensive form in a 130-92 thrashing of the Dallas Mavericks in San Francisco. Dallas took more than just its second loss in its last three games, however. Key reserve Tim Hardaway Jr. broke a bone in his left foot on a drive to the hoop midway through the second quarter.
During a tough 130-98 blowout loss to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, Dallas Mavericks (Mavs) big man Kristaps Porzingis couldn’t contain his emotions after turning the ball over and was ejected. With just under nine minutes left in the game and his team trailing by 26 points, Porzingis fumbled a pass into out of bounds, retrieved the ball on a bounce, and then proceeded to kick it as if he were Lionel Messi on the pitch.
