  • Hassan Whiteside scored 10 points with 14 rebounds, three assists and one turnover in 24 minutes against the Hornets on Saturday.
Advice: He did not close this game out with Kelly Olynyk, Bam Adebayo and James Johnson handling the frontcourt minutes. Unlike previous instances when he was on the sidelines, Whiteside showed a lot of energy on the bench tonight, so he looks to be OK with this move. Besides no blocks, this line still works and Whiteside looks like the early-round player his owners selected back in October.
  • Hassan Whiteside scored 10 points Saturday, going 5 of 10 from the field, as the Miami Heat defeated the Charlotte Hornets 106-105. Whiteside grabbed 14 rebounds and dished out three assists, accumulating a plus-minus of -7 in his 24:27 on the floor.

  • Hassan Whiteside scored 22 points with 13 rebounds, two assists and four blocks in 33 minutes against the Nets during a 101-95 loss on Friday.
Advice: The Nets went small a bunch in this game and even threw some triple teams at Whiteside. They also attacked him a lot with their guards getting in the lane to help Whiteside get all those swats. He's looked like he's back to being in tip-top shape, so his fantasy owners should have tons of confidence in plugging him into their lineups.
  • Hassan Whiteside scored 22 points Friday on 9-of-17 shooting as the Miami Heat fell to the Brooklyn Nets 101-95. Whiteside pulled down 13 rebounds and had two assists, tallying a plus-minus of -4 in his 32:45 of playing time. He added four blocks.
Advice: There's no question Whiteside is back in top form, as he went 10 of 12 from the field while racking up a season-high 27 points along with 14 rebounds and six blocks Wednesday in Milwaukee. While his scoring numbers are starting to climb, the impact center has been great in his other primary categories by averaging 12.1 rebounds and a stellar 3.7 blocks over his last seven games.

  • Hassan Whiteside busted out for season-highs 27 points and six blocks during a 106-101 win over the Bucks on Wednesday, adding 13 rebounds and one turnover.
Advice: He made 10-of-12 from the field in arguably his best game of the year. Whiteside has really rounded into form over his last five games, averaging 16.0 points, 12.2 boards and 3.6 blocks on 60.8 percent from the field and 81.8 percent from the line. After the Wednesday win, Whiteside did say he was sick for the past couple days, but that may have been referring to a bad loss to the Bulls on Monday. Whatever the case, his fantasy owners should finally have that sour taste out of their mouths from that lingering knee injury.
  • Hassan Whiteside scored 27 points Wednesday on 10-of-12 shooting as the Miami Heat topped the Milwaukee Bucks 106-101. Whiteside grabbed 13 rebounds and did not have an assist, tallying a plus-minus of +7 in his 31:41 on the floor. He added six blocks.
Advice: Whiteside, averaging 13.8 points coming in, shot 10 for 12 and got his 600th career block in the third quarter. He also forced a crucial jump ball late in the fourth. ''He was a monster tonight,'' Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. ''You could see it from his very first block. You could see it from his very first over-the-top rebound in traffic, and you could see it from his very first drive that he was playing with a different aggressiveness.''

  • Heat coach Erik Spoelstra had nothing but good things to say about Hassan Whiteside's performance on Sunday.
Advice: "He was also protecting the paint for us as well," Spoelstra said. "This is a dynamic attacking team. When he’s locked in, he can be elite at what he does. We just have to build on that. The next challenge is to be consistent. I love what he did in the third quarter." The Heat went away from him in the fourth quarter because Spoelstra said the current group was rolling, but this has been a trend lately -- he's only played in three out of five fourth quarters in his last five outings and has played about 15 minutes total in that span.
  • Hassan Whiteside scored nine points Monday on 3-of-7 shooting as the Miami Heat fell to the Chicago Bulls 119-111. Whiteside grabbed eight rebounds and added an assist, accumulating a plus-minus of -20 in his 19:51 on the floor. He added two blocks.
Advice: Whiteside had a stretch of four straight double-doubles come to an end.

  • Hassan Whiteside played just 20 minutes on Monday vs. the Bulls and was benched for the entire fourth quarter, finishing with nine points, eight rebounds, one assist and two blocks.
Advice: Whiteside has now played in just three out of Miami's last six fourth quarters. He was a -20 tonight and didn't have it going, and the Heat needed Kelly Olynyk's offense down the stretch as they were in comeback mode. Whiteside was coming off four straight double-doubles, but his minutes have been hanging around the mid-20s lately and that may not change with the Heat trying to find action for Olynyk, James Johnson, Bam Adebayo and now Justise Winslow.
  • Hassan Whiteside posted a 15-point, 10-board double-double during Sunday's easy win over Milwaukee, adding two steals, four blocks and four turnovers in 25 minutes.
Advice: Whiteside racked up all four of his swats during the first quarter, and he also got his points efficiently, going 5-of-6 from the field and 5-of-7 from the charity stripe for an 82.6 true shooting percentage. He was a beast on the glass with his 30.0 defensive rebounding rate, and he likely would have earned some more minutes if the game weren't a blowout. That said, as long as he's earning at least 25 minutes a night, he's capable of producing elite value in fantasy hoops.
