The Lakers are reportedly interested in Wayne Ellington.
Advice: The Lakers currently rank towards the back half of the league in 3-point shooting, so Ellington could certainly help them in that department, and a deal could probably get done if L.A. would be willing to include a first-round pick. Ellington does have veto power in any deal that transpires, but with Miami sputtering, he may want to jump ship for an opportunity to play alongside LeBron James in Los Angeles. That said, nothing is imminent here.
Wayne Ellington scored five points with one assist and one 3-pointer in 17 minutes against the Jazz on Wednesday.
Advice: He was in the starting lineup before he had to leave the team for his grandmother's funeral over the weekend, but that was with Tyler Johnson and/or Goran Dragic missing time. Ellington may not be in the rotation upon Dragic's return.
Wayne Ellington scored five points Wednesday on 2-of-7 shooting as the Miami Heat lost to the Utah Jazz 111-84. Ellington did not grab a rebound but had an assist, accumulating a plus-minus of +7 in his 16:56 on the floor. Ellington went 1 of 5 from behind the arc.
Wayne Ellington was available to play on Monday, but never got off the bench in a loss to the Lakers.
Advice: That makes three straight games missed for a personal issue, but there's a decent chance he gets out there on Wednesday against the Jazz. He's a nice source of steals and threes when he's in the Heat's lineup.
Ellington, who's missed Miami's last two games due to a personal matter, will play Monday against the Lakers.
Advice: It's good news for a Heat team that's a bit short-handed on the wings at the moment. Ellington remains a good source of 3-pointers with 45 treys in 16 games this season.
Wayne Ellington (personal) will play on Monday vs. the Lakers.
Advice: He's back with the team after a two-game personal absence. Ellington has been a solid source of points (10.0), triples (2.8) and steals (1.3) this season and should slide right back into his usual role.
Wayne Ellington (personal) is listed as probable for Monday's game against the Lakers.
Advice: He should be good to go, although his fantasy value is closely tied to threes and steals. The Heat play four times in Week 9, so if you need help in those categories, Ellington might have some low-end appeal to you.
Wayne Ellington (personal) is listed as out for Saturday against the Clippers.
Advice: He was expected to miss the first part of the road trip to attend his grandmother's funeral. With Ellington and Goran Dragic (rest) out, Tyler Johnson, Justise Winslow, Rodney McGruder and James Johnson should be looking at additional playing time.
Coach Erik Spoelstra said Wayne Ellington (personal) is expected to miss "the first part of the trip."
Advice: In case you missed it, he won't play Friday or Saturday to attend his grandmother's funeral. The Heat started a six-game road trip with a back-to-back on Friday in Phoenix and Saturday in Los Angeles, but he could return to action on Monday. The Heat could get Goran Dragic (knee) back, so he would likely slide into Ellington's starting spot.
Wayne Ellington (personal) will not play on Friday in Phoenix.
Advice: He's not currently traveling with the team, and while he is expected to rejoin them at some point on this six-game road trip, we're going to have to consider him doubtful for Saturday's game against the Clippers as well. Dwyane Wade could start while he's out, and there will be more minutes available for Tyler Johnson.
