There is still plenty to figure out as the NBA regular season comes to an end.
There is a strong chance that Denver does not go all out to defeat the Blazers in an effort to avoid playing the Lakers in the first round. Defeating the Blazers, should the Lakers win at the Pelicans, would leave the Blazers in seventh, the Lakers in sixth and Denver in third. That would create a first-round matchup between the Nuggets and the Lakers, who got LeBron James back during Saturday’s win at Indiana.
The Miami pick can finish from No. 17 to No. 20; Milwaukee from No. 24 to No. 27; and Portland from No. 19 to No. 23, if in the playoffs.
