There’s good news and bad news for the Los Angeles Lakers after their disappointing loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. The good news is that LeBron James is expected to return some time this week. The bad news is that it won’t be before their game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
Bojan Bogdanovic torched Denver for a career-high 48 points as the Utah Jazz remained in top spot in the Western Conference with a 127-120 victory over the Nuggets on Friday night. The undermanned Jazz were without their dynamic guard duo of Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley but throughout their injury absences other Utah players have been stepping up, and Friday it was Bogdanovic's turn. I'm playing better, I'm shooting the ball better,” Bogdanovic said.
The Lakers will be without LeBron James on Sunday as the four-time NBA MVP sat 20 games with a high right ankle sprain, played two, but has missed their last three. While the Lakers have lost eight of their last 10, Phoenix is having its best start through 67 games since the 2006-07 season when going 51-16. Here's a look back at Friday's intense victory and ahead to Sunday's clash on NBATV at STAPLES Center.
