Almost three years ago to the, um, year, Deadspin's Will Leitch set out to salute the most outstanding blogs for each NBA team. He called it "Blogdom's Best." So cute. But a lot has changed in the last few years — Ballhype, Blog World, RSS feeds! — so we here at Ball Don't Lie have decided to take a second look. Today: the best Houston Rockets blogs.
Working deep in the heart of Texas, working with maths, working with a 7-6 guy from China who dominates the paint, alongside a nutter who shaves slogans into his hair, and Tracy McGrady’s laconic presence. Interesting working conditions.
3. NBA — Perfectly-named, Jonathan Feigen's rock-solid mainstream blog often brings the goods, word count be damned.
2. The Dream Shake — A tough blog to put at number two, David and Lee (whoa!) know what they're talking about, they know stats, they how to call out a strong whiff of BS when it permeates the air, and they're a great read.
1. ClutchFans — Apologies for making a Jay Leno-level joke, but ClutchFans (also known by its older name, Clutch City) has been around longer than most Chinese gymnasts. Not only does Clutch run an exhaustive site, he hosts one of the best message boards on the planet, while still covering the Rockets better than the Houston Chronicle at times. Most times.
If you would like to nominate a specific team blog for selection, let us know right here.
