Unsurprisingly, he missed the dunk.
The Lakers begin a rather arduous road trip tonight, 10 of the team's upcoming 13 contests will be played away from the Staples Center, with the first of the bunch taking place in the Rose Garden tonight.
Apologies for tossing a pretty overrated word around, but Brandon Roy might be this league's most underrated superstar, and Kobe Bryant is going to have his hands full guarding what might be the NBA's best finisher in the lane. Greg Oden is out, but LaMarcus Aldridge is in, Jerryd Bayless and Jordan Farmer might have a nice duel around the nine-minute mark of the second quarter, and the long-armed Nick Batum/Travis Outlaw vs. Lamar Odom pairing intrigues.
Then again, Batum and Outlaw might not even guard LO, Bayless might not play, and Derek Fisher might be asked to guard Brandon Roy. Aw, shucks. What rotten luck.
Either way, tell your parents that these are the two best offenses in the NBA.
Some good games are on tonight, so keep flipping. The Hornets are in Atlanta, the Magic vs. Detroit should be interesting, the Bulls are in Miami, and the Houston/Denver pairing should be a great one.
