NBA Twitter reacts to Sixers’ Joel Embiid winning 2023 MVP award
Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid finally has his big moment. After finishing up as the runner-up in the MVP race to Nikola Jokic in both 2021 and 2022, the big fella takes home the award in 2023 after another dominant season to lead the Sixers to a ton of success on the floor.
On the season, Embiid led the league in scoring at 33.1 points per game on a ridiculous 54.8% shooting, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.7 blocks per game. He threw the Sixers on his back on plenty of occasions and he scored at least 50 points in a game three different times including scoring a career-high 59 against the Utah Jazz back in November.
Embiid is a very deserving MVP winner and he has been able to take his game to another level this entire season. He is the reason why the Sixers are even in a position to contend in the Eastern Conference at the moment.
