On Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Indiana Pacers looking to build on their overtime win on Tuesday over the New York Knicks.
But for much of the night, it looked like Indiana simply had the Lakers’ number, as it got out to a double-digit lead and was still up by 14 early in the fourth quarter.
However, behind their dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Purple and Gold gradually pecked away at that deficit and ended up on top, 112-111.
It was an important win, as it got L.A. to within one game of the 10th spot in the Western Conference and 3.5 games behind the fourth seed.
Fans on Twitter were reasonably impressed with the victory.
That was another heart attack win from #Lakeshow which was huge on this road trip

You would think that but for someone reason teams like to play like it’s the nba finals when they play the lakers. Pacers could not miss tonight. You would think they hadn’t miss 9 or 10 in a row before the 1st 3 quarters of tonight’s game. I like our chances tho Saturday

It's the only time in the last 20 years two NBA teams each had a 14+ point 4th-quarter comeback win against the other in the same season.

Lakers hit the bonus around the 7 minute mark of the 4th qtr 😭😭 they attacked the paint like any smart team would if they were in the bonus and with that came free throws. The pacers were camping on the perimeter. It’s not rocket science 🤣🤣 https://t.co/p9u0xB8fz5
